What is Cryptozoology?
"Cryptozoology" is the science and
study of hidden animals. This is not
limited to unknown animals. It also
concerns the existence of known
animals in places that they are not
known to exist, as well as the
existence of animals that have been
presumed to be extinct. No matter
where you live, all over the globe
there is sure to be sightings of such
creatures near you.
People that study and search for
these creatures come from all
different types of backgrounds and
walks of life. These researchers are
called cryptozoologists and the
animals that they study are commonly
called Cryptids.
The Cryptids that are listed here are
just a very small sampling of the
creatures that cryptozoologists study.
They represent some of the more
commonly known and widely talked
about creatures.
